FYI – I recently learned about a new innovative cancer treatment and technology called histotripsy, which uses focused ultrasound waves to destroy targeted tumours without surgery or radiation.
Histotripsy is currently authorized in the United States for destroying liver tumours, but unfortunately, not yet for treating prostate cancer.
Research into other possible applications continues.
Although histotripsy may not replace other cancer therapies, it gives me another reason to BELIEVE in the possibilities of medical science—and to remain hopeful about what the future may hold for my cancer journey.
